Karachi School of Art Fashion Show 2016

Hey everyone! I know it's not everyday that I cover an event on my blog and neither do I ever volunteer. But hey, this time I actually got off my lazy bum and volunteered for Karachi School of Art Fashion Show 2016 held on July 23rd at Rangoonwala Auditorium, designers include my seniors at the institute (batch of 2015). The event was attended by chief guests sculptor Rabia Zuberi and designer Yousuf Bashir Qureshi.

The fashion show was themed at 'Angels & Demons'. Each student had designed an evening gown and cocktail dress based on either angel or demon or both. Even though the fashion design programme consists of only 2 semesters, the students performed brilliantly. The cuts, colors, accessories, everything was totally mesmerizing. It was all thanks to the supervisors Mrs. Jiya Hassan and Mrs. Uroosa Umair for guiding the students so well throughout the year and bringing out the best in them. I can't wait for my own show ^_^

The photographs were taken by Raheel Sualiheen. If you are interested in any of these dresses just email me at jaybeesjournal@outlook.com and I'll forward your request to the designer.

Hope you all liked this post! I sure enjoyed being there and volunteering for it <3 p="">

Have a beautiful weekend!

Sweet Touch matte lipstick is perfection!

Hey beauties! I'm back after a much needed break. Hope you all have been doing well.

During Ramadan I was sent a Makeup City goody bag and this lipstick was the one thing I was most excited to try. Sadly, I haven't been feeling well all throughout Ramadan, Eid and the post-Eid (the anxieties and stuff). I tried it out today and I loved it! In a single statement I would say that this is the best budget-friendly matte lipstick that I've ever tried. But you're welcome to read the rest of the blog ^_^.

When I was putting on the first layer, it felt extremely hard and I was really annoyed. But I guess it softened up after that and the lipstick applied like a dream. It is heavenly pigmented and covered up every bit of my lips. Like, whenever I put on matte lipstick, the cracks and dry parts are left void of color and it is just a sad situation for me. But not with this one. It applied just like a creamy lipstick would!

I am totally amazed by the formula. The whole time I had it on, I was making faces, smiling broadly, putting, etc, just to see if my lips would crack up. But they never did. This is why, my friends, you need this lipstick in your life! You know I have extremely dry lips and NEVER has a matte lipstick been so kind to me.

The color lasts really well. I drank tea 2 hours into wearing it; a bit of color did come off on the mug but my lips remained fresh. No bleeding whatsoever and I didn't need a touch up at all. Sadly, 4 hours into wear my lips were attacked by my sister's hand. Because she is evil that way. (If you're reading this, I know where you keep your precious novels). Wear time could easily be 6 hours!

#723 is a brown-based red. It has a vintage feel to it and I love that. It's one of those colors that instantly perks up your entire face. It's great for those days you don't feel like wearing eye makeup. You could even skip foundation, it's that good!

Sweet Touch is easily available anywhere makeup is sold and their own store Makeup City. I'm totally getting more colors!

Keep smiling!
Love,
